Terms of Comber
Welcome to Comber Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website combervehiclehire.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services
1. Rental Contract
All rentals through Comber are governed by a Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or when you collect the vehicle. This Rental Agreement sets out the terms and conditions, insurance cover, charges, and your responsibilities for the rental. If any part of these Terms conflicts with the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will apply to that booking.
2. Comber Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Comber, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old to rent from Comber (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and any supporting documentation requested by Comber, such as proof of address and a payment method.
3. Booking and Payment with Comber
- Bookings can be made via Comber's website, by phone, or in person at Comber's office. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are normally due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Return
- You must inspect the vehicle carefully at collection and report any existing damage to Comber immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Comber representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage discovered after return will be assessed and the related repair costs charged to you.
5. Comber Liability Coverage
- Comber provides basic third-party insurance with every rental. Full coverage details and any excess amounts are set out in your Rental Agreement. Optional policies may be offered to lower your financial exposure. Please review these options carefully before accepting them. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess stated in the agreement.
6. Cancellation and Modifications
Comber’s cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.
7. Comber Restrictions
You must not use a Comber vehicle for:
- Any illegal purpose or activity involving Comber vehicles. Racing, rallying, off‑roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub‑letting to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Purposes for which the vehicle is not designed...
Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Comber rental termination and fees.
8. Limitation of Comber’s Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Comber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid by you to Comber in the twelve months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms for Comber are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to Comber Terms
Comber may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on Comber's website. Your continued use of Comber services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
